As a Limited liability company with 5 directors, registered under the Laws of Kenya, we have our fly tying facilities located in the suburbs of the capital city of Kenya Nairobi, a place called Dagoretti Centre, about 10Km from City Centre. This houses over well experienced 60 fly tiers
Our second facility is located in Nakuru, in the scenic Province of Rift Valley with about 20 well skilled tiers.
 Our offices are located in the middle of the city in Moi Avenue, Commerce Hse, 3rd Floor, Suite 314.This is our delivery office, receiving office and our communication centre.

How to Place an Order?

(a)It’s very easy placing an order with us as we are online all the time, including weekends. You can browse through our fly galleries to look at the picture of the pattern you would like. From here download an order form that suits your fly category e.g. we have fly order form for Dries, Nymphs, streamers etc. at fill in the quantities you would like & hook sizes. Upload the file & submit. Continue to the next fly category.
(b) After viewing our fly gallery you can put together your own fly list in excel format, including their respective hook sizes & quantities in dozen and mail it to us at bambooflyfactory@yahoo.com

What Fly Patterns do we tie?

After 30 years of fly tying we are practically conversant with most of the lfy pattern from different parts of the world, from the attractors of North America, the Deadly Streamers of South America, the Fully dressed Dog Hair salmon of Scandinavia to the strong Weighted Nymphs & streamers of Australia. There are flies pattern we have not listed in our website and you can be sure we most likely got it.
Due to many flies pattern being created too, we might not have tied some patterns. However don’t worry, with physical samples from you, or a link, picture or a recipe you can be guaranteed an exact replica of your pattern. Once we do the first time it goes into our archives and you can assured of consistent good quality.

Lead-time or time taken to tie your order?

This can be a big issue with many fly companies in Kenya. We give your order first priority, and with our over 60 well experienced tiers you can be sure we will deliver your order in time. We therefore will strive to give you the most accurate estimate of the shipping dates once you place your order.
Most orders below 1000 dozen takes less than 10 days to tie.However it mostly dependswith the kinds of patters ordered.We willadvice accordingly inadvance once you order.We deliver in time for your customers to get their flies in time too.

Packaging: How do we pack and label your flies?

All our flies are carefully packaged in dozens, Dries in boxes for protection from being fuzzed and streamers labeled & Carded and laid out neatly in dozens. Each carton is clearly labeled with your product codes, pattern name and the tiers employee reference number so that you can provide comments on tying quality that can be traced back to the actual individual tier.

They are priced in USD, although we can work out in any other world currency, like Euro & Sterling Pound. We try to put the shipping cost as low as possible, when using the registered postal method that takes between 3-7 days to deliver.

NB: Of importance to note also is that your flies’ package is usually insured by us and no need to worry.
